Content Marketing is a very good approach to creating an online strategy which will help to position your business and keep it there. It’s one of the very first things I did when starting my own business, and it’s very well worth doing. I always tell my clients that a great piece of content can outrank a great website, and a great website can outrank great content, but a great piece of content and a great website together can easily outrank a great piece of content. The strategy I’m about to share with you here is a strategy that was started by the client I’m speaking about today.
The Strategy Our clients are based in the UK, and I’m based in the USA. So our business is built on cross-border communication. Every time our clients need to tell me something, I always go back to them and ask them to re-tell it to me from their perspective. What I discovered about content strategy and positioning is that it’s actually quite easy to do. As I say, we’re based on a cross-border communication model. So what I do for my clients is I create a framework, so that I can take the information and apply it across their businesses. And then I create a set of “rules” for them to follow to create their own framework. Basically, we have three things that we do every time we start a new client. First of all, we always ask what are the three reasons why a prospect would be interested in our client? For example: Let’s say we’re talking about a client whose primary market is in the education market. If I asked my client: “So what three reasons would you give to a prospect who is interested in buying a course to help them develop an online course on the topic of ‘How to get a job
